The National Lottery Awards Celebration

The Watershed Landscape Project was the runner up in the National Lottery Awards for Best Environment Project 2012 and the project team plus a representative from our our partner organisations and project volunteer, travelled down to London to celebrate with all the other Lottery Good Causes projects at the filming of the live National Lottery Awards show, aired on Saturday 8th December 2012.

This star studded event was a fantastic opportunity to meet and find out about all the other projects who had been nominated for (and won!) awards. The National Lottery raises a staggering £29 million pounds every week for good causes. This money goes towards all sorts of projects, big and small, which help change people’s lives in many different ways.

As well as meeting colleagues from all over the country working on other funded projects, the team were lucky enough to rub shoulders with some of the nation’s favourite TV stars!
