Watershed Landscape project in National Lottery Award Finals!

Thanks to your votes the Watershed Landscape Project reached the finals of the National Lottery Awards 2012 in the category of 'Best Environmental Project.' The project was one of only three projects from across the UK to reach this stage in the environmental category.

The awards are an annual search to find the UK’s favourite lottery-funded projects, and they recognise and celebrate the difference that lottery-funded projects make to communities across the UK. Our project video can be seen here: video (aired on BBC1, Wednesday 17th October), but there is much more about our work here on the website.

'Volunteers are at the core of this Project: guiding, inspiring and carrying out landscape restoration so winning an award would recognise their toil and passion for the uplands at the highest level.' Pam Warhurst (Chair of Pennine Prospects).
