Time and Nature: An Artistic Interpretation of Scammonden Dam

An artistic interpretation of Scammonden Dam, Huddersfield, by 12 to 14-year-old art students from Colne Valley High School, Huddersfield.

'Time and Nature' is a short film created over autumn 2012 and spring 2013. The students worked with writer, artist and filmmaker Beverley Addy, who is based in Huddersfield, and most of their work took place at the dam itself. The video is now being used by Yorkshire Water to promote the dam on the company's website. The project was supported by Pennine Prospects, the Heritage Lottery Fund, Yorkshire Water and Kirklees Council and was set up by Kirklees Countryside Officer Simon Pedley and Ian Bell from Colne Valley High along with Beverley Addy.

The film takes a look at the dam through all the senses and emotions - perhaps you might want to take a look up there yourself and see if you can see, hear or feel what the Colne Valley High School students did.
